BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library has a variety of programs for people of all ages are being planned for August.

Summer Reading Finale with Lea Craine, 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church. Lea Craine will twist balloons, and we will play Laugh-Olympics, plus plenty of crafts and fun! Registration required.

Solving Common Dog Problems for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2. Canine behavior specialist, Janee Moore, along with her 4-legged friends will talk about common dog problems and how to correct them. Registration required.

Craft-a-palooza Summer Edition for ages 5-11, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9. Join the library for fun crafts and take as we clean out our craft closet in preparation for Fall. Registration required.

Book Discussion – The Cherry Cola Book Club by Ashton Lee for adults, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9. Join a discussion. Registration required.

Teen Advisory Group for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9. Over snacks talk about books and programs and activities and plot to take over the world. Registration required.

Arm Knitting for Teens for grades 6-12, 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. Learn to arm knit an infinity scarf. Participants will learn the technique and be able to take home a scarf. Registration required.

End of Summer Movie: Zootopia for ages 6-11, 12-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15. Join the library staff for popcorn and one of the best animated movies in recent years: Zootopia – rated PG. Registration required.

PAWS to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Read to our four-footed furry friends from the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association. Registration required.

Super Smash Brothers Melee Tournament-Gaming and Pizza for grades 6-12, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Games and pizza. Bring your thumbs and prepare to play. Couple tournaments, so invite your friends. Registration required.

STEM Mondays for grades 3-5, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22. Join Miss Kim for Science Technology Engineering and Math activities fun and instructional. Registration required.

Teen D.I.Y. Tuesdays—Polystyrene Plate Printing for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23. Learn the basics of printmaking by designing your own polystyrene plate. Registration required.

Betcha Didn’t Know Game for ages 8-12, 4:45-5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23. Discover strange, bizarre, and unexpected facts as we challenge you in a quiz show game. Registration required.

Lego Play Day for ages 5-12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Come see what you can build with our Legos. Registration required.

Bi-Weekly Readers for ages 4-7 with adult, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29. Register and pick up a copy of the Early Reader we’ll be reading together. Read it at home and then join the library staff to talk about the book and make a craft. Registration required.
