BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Cultural Department hosts a variety of events and programs for residents. Classes are held at CI Beaver Hall, 3696 Highmont St. unless otherwise noted. The following is a listing of upcoming events. Kids adventures and artful antics

Kids Adventures & Artful Antics will provide a great adventure for parents and their children ages 3-6 years old. Participants will explore different art processes, STEM challenges, simple science experiments, music, movement, games and more. The class is scheduled 11-11:45 a.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 30 – Sept. 27. Resident fee is $35 and non-resident fee is $40. Material fee included.

Beginning guitar class

Register for Beginning Guitar Class for youth and adults offered by the parks department and the Piano Preparatory School. Beginning Guitar provides small group classes that cover beginning guitar notation, chords and guitar techniques. Participants must provide their own acoustic or classical guitar or rent one for the duration of the class. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays, Sept. 6-27 at the Piano Preparatory School, 3899 Indian Ripple Road, Suite C.

Kidz’ home alone

The parks is offering Kidz’ Home Alone class 12-2 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 17 and Sept. 24 to help children prepare for staying home all by themselves. The interactive course teaches topics such as first aid, self-Heimlich maneuver, reasons to call 911, fire escape plans, microwave safety and how to problem-solve out of the ordinary situations. A parent guide is included in the student manual which provides helpful discussion points between parent and child. Resident fee is $65 per person; non-resident fee is $70 per person.

Toddler imagination stations

All Aboard for a fun class for toddler and parent or caregiver. Toddler Imagination Station 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 30 through Sept. 27 will keep your and your child busy with activities such as sorting, matching, sensory play, music, movement, craft time, parachute play and much more. Resident fee is $35 and non-resident fee is $40. Material fee included.

Fitness classes

The Parks Department is offering Yoga, Pilates, and Piyo classes to get you in shape for more information visit the website.
