Book Discussion – That Night by Chevy Stevens for adults, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. Join a discussion of That Night. Toni Murphy was eighteen when she and her boyfriend, Ryan, were wrongly convicted of the murder of her younger sister. Now she is 34 and back in her hometown, doing everything she can to avoid violating her parole and going back to prison. Registration required.

Newbery Book Discussion Group for ages 9-13, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Join Mr. Tim who’s been on the Newbery Committee twice will be held at the Beavercreek Community Library on to discuss Newbery-winning books. Register at the Children’s desk and pick up a copy of the book to check out. September’s book is Flora & Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo. Registration required.

Beavercreek Friends of the Library Book Sale for adults, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Then 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. is members only and 12-4 p.m. is non-members only. Memberships are sold at the door. The Friends will not take magazines, textbooks, or large sets of books that are over 10 years old. They do take both VHS tapes and DVD movies.

Beavercreek Friends of the Library Book Sale for adults, 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 for $5. Bag Sale of the leftovers from Saturday’s sale.

Teen D.I.Y. Tuesdays ñ Vellum Adventure for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Create a work of art that seems to float. For this project you will paint and stitch on vellum to create a whimsical artwork. Registration required.
