Community library announces programs


BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in June. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Build a Better World Poster and Newspaper Creation for ages 4-8, 11 a.m. Friday, June 16. Join library staff for some crafting posters and a newspaper about you. Registration required.

PAWS to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17. Registration required.

Preschool Story Time for ages 4-6, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Monday, June 19, 28. Registration required.

Calling All Teen Yarn Crafters for grades 6-12, 2-4 p.m. Monday, June 19. Beginner to advanced knitters and crocheters are welcomed for this morning session. Must bring your own supplies. Rebecca and Vanessa Dickenson will provide guidance and encouragement. Registration required.

Baby Story Time for ages 6-23 months, 10:30-11:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 27. Registration required.

Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse presents Misplaced on the Moon for ages 3-12, 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 will be held at Peace Lutheran Church. Watch the kids of Yellow Springs perform this original play about two kids whose toy is lost on the moon as they try to figure out how to retrieve it. Registration required.

Build a Better Beavercreek for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20. Jeff McGrath, Planning Director for the City of Beavercreek, discusses recent and future development projects, how the development process works in Beavercreek. Registration required.

Teen DIY Tuesdays – Homage to the Square for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20. Create a sense of place using color relationships, nested squares, and gouache paint. Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters for adults, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. Chat while your fingers bring your design to life? Beginner to advanced yarn crafters are invited to bring their own project and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers. Experienced crafter Vanessa Dickenson provides guidance and encouragement.
