SAN ANTONIO, Texas – US Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Emily N. Weekes graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Weekes earned distinction as an honor graduate. Weekes is the daughter of Steven K. and Chitsupang Weekes of Beavercreek and sister of Benjamin K. Weekes of Madison, Wis., and Abigail M. Weekes. She is granddaughter of Peggy and Kenny Weekes and Rampaipan Srisopark, all of Beavercreek. She is a 2012 graduate of Beavercreek High School.
