Youth fishing derby

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Youth Fishing Derby will take place 8:30 a.m Saturday, May 21 at Dominick Lofino Park, 640 Grange Hall Road. Registration begins 8 a.m. Comedian, juggler and ventriloquist Mike Hemmelgarn will perform. Prizes will be awarded for biggest, smallest and most fish caught. Bring own fishing pole and bait. Old Timers Breakfast

BEAVERCREEK TOWNSHIP — The Beavercreek Township Fire Department is hosting its Fifth Annual Old Timers Breakfast 8-11 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at Station 61, 2195 Dayton-Xenia Road.

Organizers are trying to reach out to past members and thank them for their service to our community. There will be pictures from the archives for attendees to look over, reminisce and identify people whose names we don’t have listed. Memorial Day Ceremony

BEAVERCREEK — The City of Beavercreek Memorial Day Ceremony will be held 2 P.M. Monday, May 30 at Veterans Memorial Park, 1911 N. Fairfield Road. The ceremony will honor the memory of those men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The public is invited to attend the community’s observance of Memorial Day. Parking is available on Fairwood Drive and at the Church of the Nazarene. Art camps

BEAVERCREEK — Decoy Art Studio is accepting registrations for their Summer Art Camps. Summer Art Camp programming begins in mid-June offering weekly opportunities for ages 6-15 years involving clay, paint, sculpting, wheel throwing, mixed media and other creative processes.

Seeking applicants

BEAVERCREEK — The City of Beavercreek 4th of July Committee is looking for applicants for Miss and Miss Junior Beavercreek. The purpose of this citizenship pageant is to select young women who represent the spirit of the community.

Miss and Miss Jr. Beavercreek pageant is open to all female Beavercreek residents in grades 6-12 as of July 4. Applications and more details can be found online at the Parks website: www.beavercreekohio.gov.
