XENIA — Greene CATS Public Transit will celebrate its 15th year of transit service to Greene County at an event scheduled for July 28. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Greene County Media Room, 571 Ledbetter Road.

“It is remarkable that Greene County has been able to build a public transportation service that brings local government and private non-profit agencies together in a collaborative effort that provides 180,000 one way trips annually to those individuals in our communities who need safe, reliable, and accessible transportation,” Greene CATS Executive Director Ken Collier said.

The event will feature a video highlighting the agency’s history. The video will take a stroll down memory lane with interviews with founding members of the Greene County transit movement to the riders who use the service daily.

The celebration is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Go to www.co.greene.oh.us/greenecats and register to attend by clicking on the link in the calendar.
