BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek Senior Center is hosting licensed gerontologist, dementia educator and author Laura from Comfort Keepers 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26 at the center. Laura will present -“A Loving Approach to Dementia” with topics include: the difference between normal aging and dementia, care techniques for successful interactions, creating a positive environment, and interventions that help the person with dementia communicate their feelings, express their compassion & manage their fears.

The program is free and open to the public. Laura gives such a great interactive presentation and covers many of the topics in more detail, as well as new information, which is why we are thrilled to have her back to share her experiences with us. As a courtesy to others please save your questions or comments for the end of the program so she may complete her presentation.

Snooty Fox Tour

The Senior Center is taking a trip to Cincinnati to The Snooty Fox – a chain of upscale consignment shops in greater Cincinnati with high quality fashions at reduced prices, as well as furniture and accessories to decorate your home at affordable prices. The selection is ever changing and new merchandise arriving every day at all four locations. Sign up at the front desk. Limited seats. Cost is $35 for members, $55 nonmembers. Bus leaves at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28.
