BEAVERCREEK — A Beavercreek man was arrested on Monday, Sept. 26 for two counts of child endangering.

According to Beavercreek Police, at 3:27 a.m. police responded to Children’s Medical Center after emergency room staff reported that a two-month-old in the ER had sustained injuries consistent with child abuse.

Investigators were immediately summoned and developed information that resulted in the arrest of the infant’s father. Saul Chavez, 23, was taken to the Fairborn Jail on Wednesday, Sept. 28, for two alleged counts of child endangering, a second degree felony and a third degree felony.

Chavez was arraigned on Thursday, Sept. 29 and currently remains in the Greene County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

The infant remains hospitalized at Children’s Medical Center.
