BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek Park, Recreation & Culture celebrated fire prevention week with three events on Oct. 15 — Try a Truck, Fire Prevention Open House and Day Air Credit Union Open House.

Children and adults got to see the large city and fire vehicles up close – climb on them and sit in the driver’s seat.

This year’s event included a bouncy house, semi-truck, dump truck, snow plow, tow truck, mini Zamboni, ambulance, cement mixer, police cruiser, fire trucks, the Bookmobile, school bus, garbage truck and more.

For the past 10 years, the Beavercreek Fire Station and the Municipal Maintenance facility collaborated to have Try a Truck and the firehouse open house on the same day, this year, Day Air Credit Union joined forces with festivities.

This annual event brought out more than 500 children and their families.
