BEAVERCREEK — Kettering Health Network is hosting Stroke of Art, a painting class and health fair to raise community awareness that stroke is preventable, treatable, and beatable. The event is being held 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at Beavercreek Golf Club, 2800 New Germany-Trebein Road.

Stroke of Art features a two and a half hour instructor-led painting session. Every participant will receive an easel, brushes, paints, and apron to use along with a personalized, large, gallery-wrapped canvas painting.

Participants in the painting session will have an opportunity to win prizes by correctly answering stroke and other health and wellness trivia questions.

Other activities include a mini-health fair offering stroke, diabetes, and nutrition education and blood pressure screenings. Refreshments will be served and guests can enter for a chance to win prizes.

Cost for the evening, including painting and use of supplies, is $40. Payment is non-refundable and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Stroke Association.
