BEAVERCREEK — A Friday evening fire has forced Red Robin near The Mall at Fairfield Commons to close its doors for a while.
According to Beavercreek Township Fire Department Deputy Chief Scott Dorsten, the fire started in the hood system over the grill approximately 6 p.m. and extended into the roof. Do dollar amount has been placed on the damage, but it was extensive, Dorsten said.
Staff had evacuated the restaurant prior to the fire crews’ arrival and no injuries were reported.
Dorsten said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Media reports Tuesday indicate the restaurant will be closed 4-6 weeks.
