BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek residents are invited to celebrate Independence Day with a parade, family fun and fireworks on the fourth.

The community event continues this year, carrying on the 17-plus-year tradition.

The celebration will begin with a parade at 6 p.m. at Meadow Bridge Drive and continue east on Dayton-Xenia Road to Beavercreek High School.

Post-parade festivities will continue at Rotary Park including food vendors, live entertainment, children’s activities and inflatable bounce houses.

Admission is free. Rotary Park is located at 2260 Dayton-Xenia Road.

A rapid-firing pizza eating contest will be held at 7:15 p.m., followed by a Fastrax jump team performance and a Hair Rraising Science demonstration with Mister C, both beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Air Force Band of Flight will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with the UES firework show capping off the night at 10 p.m.

The fourth of July celebration is paid for entirely through private sponsorships. Average attendance for the event is 5,000.

Sponsors for the event this year include The Mall at Fairfields Commons, UES, Beavercreek Township, Beavercreek Christian Learning Center, City Councilman Brian Jarvis, Decoy Art Studio and City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture.
