XENIA — A Xenia man was sentenced to six and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to drug charges in Greene County Common Pleas Court Aug. 25.

Muhammad Salahuddin, 31, was charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, according to court records. The charges were third-, fourth- and fifth-degree felonies.

Six other charges were dismissed.

Judge Michael Buckwalter ordered the defendant to serve a total of six and a half years at Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, court records show. The defendant is entitled to 127 days jail time credit.

Salahuddin was arrested in April as a result of on-going investigations by the Greene County Agencies for Combined Enforcement (ACE) Task Force. He was then indicted on 10 criminal charges related to the drug trafficking offenses, including trafficking in or possessing heroin, fentanyl, and carfentanil. He has been held in the Greene County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
