BEAVERCREEK – Beavercreek Senior Center has upcoming events planned in honor of their 10th anniversary.

The annual senior center garage sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. The center would love to have your donated items for the sale. Please see Krissi if you are interested in volunteering at this year’s sale.

The center will offer a AARP driving class 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 for senior to learn proven safety strategies to maintain your independence on today’s roads. No tests, just self-graded quizzes. How to compensate for your personal age-related challenges. A discount on vehicle insurance is possible, check with your agent. More than 95 percent of those who take the course report that they change at least one of their driving habits. Pre-registration is required. Call the center at 426-6166 to sign up. There is a $15 per person fee for AARP members; $20 for others. Bring your driver’s license and AARP membership card to class.
