BEAVERCREEK — Books & Co. at The Greene, 4453 Walnut St., will have authors visiting in October.
Tom Watson, popular children’s author and illustrator, will introduce his two new books, Stick Dog Craves Candy and Stick Cat: Two Catch a Thief 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Before turning his talents to writing and illustrating children’s books, Tom Watson worked in politics, including a stint as the chief speechwriter for the governor of Ohio.
Celebrated NASA Astronaut Terry Virts will introduce his book, View From Above: An Astronaut Photographs the World 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Colonel Terry Virts (USAF Retired) was the pilot of STS-130 aboard the space shuttle Endeavor in 2010. He assumed command of the International Space Station in March 2015, and has spent over 7 months there. He has a unique perspective about the earth because of the many photographs he has taken showing its splendor . He has spent more than 200 days in space and taken more photographs of Earth from above than anyone else.
