Students volunteer at awards

CEDARVILLE — Nine Cedarville University worship students will Serve at the 2017 GMA Dove Awards. Greene County residents include: Cole Tague of Xenia and Caleb O’Neel of Spring Valley.

KSU president’s list

KENT — Kent State University announced full-time students that were named to the president’s list for superior academic achievement during the 2017 summer semester. To qualify for the president’s list, full-time students must have an average in the semester of 4 and must have completed 15 or more letter-graded credit hours by the end of the semester.

Shilpa F. Reddy of Fairborn was named to that list.

Local students graduate

KENT – Kent State University recently conferred degrees to summer graduates during commencement exercises Aug. 19 in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center on the Kent Campus. The university awarded 252 associate degrees, 826 bachelor’s degrees and 490 graduate degrees to students.

Whitt Mary F. Whitt of Cedarville received a degrees in communication and information master library and information science.

Hafsa F. Hussain of Dayton was Magna cum laude and received an arts and sciences bachelor science degree.

Michael Rebecca F. Michael of Dayton received a bachelor of science degree in education, health and human services.
