XENIA — The Xenia Old Timers Club and North Side Christian Church is teaming up to host a free fall festival 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at 733 Country Club Drive.

North Side is sponsoring a free hog roast and hay rides at the event. The Box Maze, a favorite annual tradition, will be open, as will the kids’ costume party and an assortment of carnival games. The Old Timers Club will host a tractor show and have ice cream to give away.

“We are happy to partner with a community organization like the Old Timers Club to offer something that will be safe and fun for the whole family, but you don’t have to have kids to come,” said North Side Senior Minister Jay Russell. “With the hog roast, tractor show, and hay rides, we hope kids of all ages will enjoy themselves.”

Old Timers President Lester Davis agreed and added, “And it’s going to be cooler!”

There will be a free hog roast provided by North Side and ice cream provided by the Old Timers Club. There will be outdoor activities and North Side has a fenced playground where children can climb and play.

The annual Box Maze, built by the church, is an indoor, crawl-through cardboard maze for children to enjoy. A few surprises are hidden within the maze for the kids to discover. The Box Maze serves as a physical-activity alternative to the candy prizes that are offered at many of the carnival games.
