FAIRBORN — The Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association’s Holiday Tournament wrapped up at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Tuesday night.

Bellbrook, Fairborn, Greeneview and Xenia were the Greene County schools participating.

Bellbrook’s Tyler Wiederholt was the county’s top finisher, winning the 182-pound title with an 11-4 win over Joe Cochran of Springfield.

Xenia’s Cody Smith was third at 220 pounds after a 7-3 win over Garrett Chandler of Male. A.J. Warner of Fairborn was sixth at 120 pounds, dropping his last match to Seth Transue of Dublin Jerome by 12-1 major decision.

Ben Sherrill of Bellbrook was seventh at 120 pounds, losing by 10-0 major to Seth Schroeder of West Branch. Greeneview’s Isaiah Harding lost his seventh-place match, 5-3 to Danny Baka of Hudson.

Bellbrook was 14th out of 25 teams in the Division II/III team standings with 54.5 points. Greeneview finished 22nd with 21.5 points.

Fairborn finished 25th of 32 teams in Division I with 35.5 points. Xenia (29 points) was 30th.

Beavercreek’s Ben Sherrill attempts to take down Fairborn’s A.J. Warner during third-round action. Warner won this match 10-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals. Warner finished sixth at 120 pounds, while Sherrill was seventh.
