Beavercreek wallops Xenia

XENIA — Beavercreek jumped out to a 32-1 lead after the first quarter and rolled to a 96-43 win Wednesday at Xenia High School. The game was just the third time in the past 12 years that a Beavercreek team had scored 90 points or more in a game.

Bailey Draughn led all scorers with 24 points, Keaira Youngblood had 17 points, Carmen Williams scored 14, and Cori Dilsavor tossed in 11 for the Beavers, now 2-0. They’ll host Cincinnati Mt. Notre Dame at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Jada Wallace led Xenia (0-3) with a 14-point, 13-rebound effort, and Trinity Morton-Nooks finished with nine points in the loss. The Buccaneers next play on Monday, Dec. 5 when they’ll host New Carlisle Tecumseh.

Patriots defeat Miami Valley

RIVERSIDE — Amanda Schroeder scored 26 points and Sydney Ingram added 11 to lead Carroll’s girls basketball team to a 63-52 win over Miami Valley School, Tuesday. After a win over Marion Pleasant in a Showcase event, Saturday, in Reynoldsburg, the Patriots are now 2-0 this season.

Miam Valley’s Tia Karras scored 27 points in the loss. Carroll plays at Kettering Fairmont at 7:30 p.m., Friday.
