LIMA, Peru — Susan Randall, of Beavercreek, finished third in the women’s 50-kilometer racewalking competition at the 2017 Pan American Race Walk Cup international event May 13-14 at ‘La Videna’ athletic stadium.

Randall covered the 31.069-mile course in a time of 5 hours, 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Nair da Rosa of Brasil finished first in 4:39.28, with Peru’s Yoci Caballero placing second in 4:49.45.

This was Randall’s largest international competition thus far, and her inaugural competition as part of the Pan American Cup racewalking series.

Randall’s next scheduled meet will be the USATF-sanctioned Masters Outdoors racewalking event, set for July 13-16 at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium located on the Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge, La.

Randall Garage Sale Fundraiser: The 8th Susan Randall Garage Sale fundraiser will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday May 19 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20 at 389 Big Stone Dr. in Beavercreek. Everything on sale has been donated for the cause, with 100 percent of the funds raised going toward Randall’s international travel and race expenses.
