DAYTON — Carroll High School will graduate 170 seniors as its 52nd graduating class on Friday, May 20 at Trent Arena.

Students received more than $10.5 million in scholarships. The class has 96 percent of its seniors continuing their education after Carroll High School. In addition 2 percent is enlisting in the US Armed Forces and 1 percent will complete a year of service.

Graduation and baccalaureate is 6 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Trent Arena in Kettering. The event is open to the public.

Valedictorians this year are James Zedaker and David Austria. Zedaker is the son of James and Chanda Zedaker and will attend Miami University. Austria is the son of Daniel and Tracey Austria and will also attend Miami University.

Class salutatorians are Elise Paietta, Kurt Middleton and Daniel Barbaro. Paietta will attend the University of Nortre Dame and is the daughter of Dr. John and Judith Paietta. Middleton will attend Ohio State University and is the son of Gary and Ana Middleton. Barbaro is the son of Fred and Marianne Barbaro and will attend Case Western Reserve University.
