BEAVERCREEK – Beavercreek Police Department Officer Justin Tolley has been named the recipient of the 2015 Knights of Columbus Council 7981 Blue Coat Award.

Hired in 2010, Officer Tolley has served the agency and community as a dedicated officer volunteering for opportunities on numerous occasions. As the extra duty coordinator for the FOP, he takes requests for off duty officers to provide protective services and traffic details. He spends a considerable amount of free time meeting with local businesses and organizations to ensure the needs of the community are met without impacting the department’s response to calls for service. He also serves as the assistant commander of the department’s Citizens Police Academy.

Officer Tolley is dedicated to his family, church, police department and fellow officers, and the community he serves. He has managed to successfully balance his time between career, family, volunteering in his church, and serving his country in the United States Air Force Reserve. Officer Tolley is very deserving of the Blue Coat Award, not only because of his strong commitment to family, church, and community, but also for his dedication to the law enforcement profession. He was recently honored by the Knights of Columbus at its annual banquet at Franco’s Ristorante Italiano on June 20.
