BEAVERCREEK — Club Pilates will open its doors in Beavercreek May 17-20 with a planned grand opening celebration the weekend of June 15-17. The studio is located at 2451 Lakeview Drive, Ste. 104, and offers members full-body workouts that improves posture, balance, flexibility and strength.

The studio offers four class levels and eight signature group class formats that utilize a variety of equipment, including Reformers, EXO chairs, TRX, Trigger Point, springboard and Barre. From May 17 to June 17, the studio will be offering free 30-minute introductory classes.

The Beavercreek location is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team and Beavercreek residents Jeff and Lisa Shumway. Jeff Shumway grew up in Beavercreek and is a former CPA and Lisa Shumway is a former medical practice manager. They are coupling their business skills with their interest in fitness to bring Pilates to the area. The pair plan on opening two other local studios between Beavercreek and Miami Township.

“Pilates is an exercise that anyone can do,” said Lisa Shumway. “Part of our goal is to help our members improve their lives and Pilates can do that for them.”
