Kids home alone program

BEAVERCREEK — The City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Cultural Department will host a Better Baby Sitters Class offered by the City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture Department so they can gain confidence and the skills to handle situations that may occur while babysitting.

The two-day class is scheduled for 12-4:30 p.m. Monday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 20. Students will learn the responsibilities of having a job, the Rights of a Baby Sitter, CPR for a child and infant, basic First Aid, growth and development and appropriate toys and activities for children. Resident fee is $100 per child; non-resident fee is $115 per child.

Summer Day Camps

The Parks Department is offering Summer Day Camps for children ages 6-12 at Rotary Park, 2260 Dayton Xenia Road. Camps run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. now through Aug. 1. Drop off early 7:30-9:30 a.m. and late pick up from 3:30-5:30 p.m. is provided at no extra cost.

A field trip each Wednesday is also included in the weekly fee. Campers will engage in a variety of activities, create crafts, play sports and meet new friends. Resident fee is $110 per week and non-resident fee is $125 per week. Campers receive a summer camp T-shirt. Pre-registration is required.

Fitness classes

The Parks Department is offering Yoga, Pilates, and Piyo classes to get you in shape.
