PAWS to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. Read to our four-footed furry friends from the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association. Registration required.

Krafty Kids for ages 8-12, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18. Each month we make a different craft. Registration required.

The Art of the Skin: Henna for Adults for adults, 5-6 p.m. And 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19. Lily is back, but for adults only. Have you ever wanted a gorgeous henna design? Lily from Ohio Henna will be here to share the history of Henna body art and apply designs on each participant. Registration required.

Newbery Book Discussion Group for ages 9-13, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20. Join Mr. Tim to discuss Newbery winning books. Register at the Children’s desk and pick up a copy of the book to check out. September’s book is Flora & Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo. Registration required.

What is NaNoWriMo? for ages 13-18, 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Do you have a novel that you are dying to write? Find out all about National Novel Writing Month and how to write your own 50,000-word novel in just one month. Veteran NaNoWriMo-ers will give you tips and encouragement in the creation of your bestseller. Registration required.

Cute Felted Bat Make and Take for adults, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. Celebrate fall.Create one needle-felted bat with Maya Stutzman. Registration required.

Bi-Weekly Readers for ages 4- 7 with adult, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. Register and pick up a copy of the early reader we’ll be reading together. Read it at home and then join us to talk about the book and make a craft. Registration required.

Teen DIY Tuesdays — Oil Pastel Resist for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. Oil and water don’t mix. We’ll use that fact to our advantage to create funky watercolor paintings. Registration required.

Slow Cooker Basics for adults, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27. This program is for the seasoned as well as first-time slow cooker owners. Discover a variety of items you can prepare in your slow cooker. Registration required.

Game Day for Teens & Tweens, 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Board games, card games, trivia games—time to get down and game old-school while snacking ourselves into a coma. Registration required.

Halloween Crafts for kids for ages 3-6, 10:30-11:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31. Join Mr. Tim for a special craft and story time celebrating his favorite holiday—unless crafts scare you. Dress in your costume and see if you can scare him. Registration required.
