Nielsen named to list

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Audrey Nielsen of Beavercreek, a sixth grader at Randolph-Macon Academy, earned a place on the principal’s list for the fourth quarter of the 2017-18 school year. Only students who achieve a GPA of 3.5-3.99 at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School (grades 6-8) are named to the principal’s list. Nielsen is the daughter of Amy Nielsen and Kevin Nielsen of Beavercreek.

Sendelbach studies in the Amazon

OXFORD — Cailin Sendelbach of Beavercreek a current master’s student in the Global Field Program (GFP) from Miami University’s Project Dragonfly, has recently traveled to the Amazon. Sendelbach studied avian and tropical rainforest ecology. Sendelbach works as a teacher at Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools.

Project Dragonfly’s Earth Expeditions graduate courses have engaged more than 3,000 people in firsthand educational and scientific research at critical conservation field sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas.

Anderson announces dean’s list

ANDERSON, S.C. — The following students were named to the dean’s list at Anderson University for the spring semester Caroline Nestor of Beavercreek and Lyssa Engle of Fairborn. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the semester.

CINCINNATI — Mount St. Joseph University recognizes the students recently named to the spring 2018 dean’s list. The dean’s list recognizes undergraduate students who earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher while enrolled in six hours or more of course work for a letter grade Lauren Casey of Beavercreek is a junior in the field of biology, Luke Danis of Yellow Springs is a sophomore in the field of criminology and Collin Matt of Jamestown is a sophomore in the field of special education.

WC named to dean’s list
