Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in April. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Tween Gaming and Pizza for grades 3-7, noon Saturday, April 14. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Bi-weekly Readers for ages 4-7, 1 p.m. Monday, April 16. Join Miss Gail for the last of this year’s Bi-weekly readers. Registration required.

Tuesday Tech Tips for adults, noon Tuesday, April 17. Drop in for basic computer help with things like email, searching the Internet, and using social media. Bring your laptop, phone, or tablet and specific questions to help us guide you.

Teen DIY Sketchbooks for grades 6-12, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17. Make your own sketchbook. Select fabric to create front and back covers of an accordion fold sketch book. Registration required.

Midnight Ride of Paul Revere for adults, 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. Paul Revere, in full period costume, visits Beavercreek Library. Learn about the start of the American Revolution in 1775. Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters for adults, 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 26. Want to chat while your fingers bring your design to life? Beginner to advanced yarn crafters are invited to bring their own projects and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers. Experienced crafter Vanessa Dickenson provides guidance and encouragement. Your Life, Your Legacy — Plan to Make It Right for adults, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19. Learn about pre-planning for your final wishes. Refreshments served. Registration required.

Beavercreek Community Library’s Millennial Walk and Talk Books in the Park for adults, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, Rotary Park, 2260 Dayton-Xenia Road. Meet at the large picnic shelter at Rotary Park, adjacent to the playground.

PAWs to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21. Read to our four-footed furry friends from the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association. Registration required.

Gaming and Pizza for grades 6-12, noon Saturday, April 21. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Doughnuts and Dystopias: Teen Book Club for ages 13-18, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24. Join staff the fourth Tuesday of each month if you love reading books like The Hunger Games or Red Queen. Registration required.

Social Science Thursdays for ages 8-12, 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26. Join Miss Julie for a homeschool class with exercises in cooperative learning. Registration required.

Lego Play Day for ages 5-12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28. See what you can build with our Legos. Make something awesome and staff display it all month. Registration required.

Beavercreek Friends of the Library Book Sale, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 12-4 p.m. open to the public. 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 29. Memberships are sold at the door.
