Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in July. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Design a Guitar for ages 5-9, 11 a.m. to noon Friday, July 13. Create your own rockin’ guitar and box-banjo. Materials provided. Registration required.

Gaming and Pizza for grades 6-12, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, July 14. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Breakout Room — Rockin’ Teen Edition for grades 6-12, 5-7 p.m. Saturday, July 14. The librarians are hiding something. A body was found in the library, but the murderer was so confident that they left behind puzzles, knowing that nobody could possibly solve them. Registration required.

Beavercreek Community Library’s Tuesday Tech Tips for adults, 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the Beavercreek Senior Center, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road. Enjoy one-on-one instruction with Beavercreek Community librarians. Bring your laptop, phone, or tablet and learn how to download apps or set up your contacts.

Laughter Yoga for ages adults, 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 14. Discover the difference between conditional laughter and unconditional laughter. Registration required.

Calling All Teen Yarn Crafters — Beginning to Crochet for grades 6-12, 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 16. Rebecca and Vanessa Dickenson will provide instructions to help you learn this new craft. Registration required.

The Rock and Roll Oreo Challenge for grades 6-12, 2-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17. Take the Oreo Challenge and find out if you can name the Oreo after one taste. Registration required.

Music Wire Jewelry for adults, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17. Make your life a little more musical with wire jewelry. Create a treble clef or a sixteenth note that you can wear in various ways. Registration required.

Beavercreek Community Library’s Entertain the Fishies for ages 5-10 with adult, 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18 Community Park, 801 Factory Road. Read a fishy story or two, take turns fishing, and paint rocks to toss into the pond or take home.

Gluten-Free Pizza for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19. Dawn Vaflor from Purely Sweet Bakery discusses gluten-free ingredient options for constructing a typical pizza with toppings that are safe. Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters: Adults and Teens, 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 19. Beginner to advanced yarn crafters are invited to bring their own projects and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers. Experienced crafter Vanessa Dickenson provides guidance and encouragement.
