Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in August. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

PAWS to Read for ages 3-12 with adult, 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 18. Read to four-footed furry friends from the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association.

Tween Gaming and Pizza for grades 3-6, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Preschool Story Time for ages 4-5, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 27. Join Mr. Tim for stories.

Beavercreek Matters for adults, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20. Join former mayor and city councilman Brian Jarvis to discuss topics of local interest.

Down & Dirty Part I: Intensive Intro to Calligraphy for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20. Ann Bain guides participants through the graphic art of calligraphy using felt pens and her specially created handouts. Registration required.

Baby Story Time for ages 6-23 months with adult, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 28. Join Miss Catherine for stories.

Toddler Story Time for ages 2-3 with adult, 10:11-11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 29. Join Miss Gail for stories and more.

Millennial Meet-Up Anime Club for adults, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. Help decide what this still-developing club will watch, read, discuss, and listen to! Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters for adults, 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 23, 30. Beginner to advanced yarn crafters are invited to bring their own project and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers.
