Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in October. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Foxes in Folklore for ages 10 and up with adult, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. Presenters bring their live fox as an ambassador to this entertaining program. Registration required.

Specialty Cake Pan Swap for adults, 12-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. Have a specialty cake pan you only used once or twice? Donate your clean, gently-used specialty cake pans or candy molds during the month of September and receive a voucher. Redeem your voucher when all donations will be available for swapping.

Preschool Story Time for ages 4-5, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 15, 22, 29. Join Mr. Tim for stories and goofy fun.

Bi-Weekly Readers for ages 4-7, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 22. Register in person and pick up a copy of the Early Reader. Registration required.

Book Discussion: Voracious for adults, 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Once Upon a Thyme Bookshop,1275 N. Fairfield Road. Feel free to bring a favorite dish from the book. New members are always welcome Registration required.

Baby Story Time for ages 6-23 months with adult, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30. Join Miss Catherine for stories perfect for your wee ones.

Tuesday Tech Tips for adults, 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 23, at the Beavercreek Senior Center, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road. Drop in for basic computer help with things like email, searching the Internet, and using social media. Bring your laptop, phone, or tablet, and get your tech questions answered.

Magic with James Butler for all ages 12 and up, 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10. James the Magic Man performs. Registration required.

Domestic Violence Dance Duet: Kathy & Janet for adults, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. Watch a thought-provoking, professional dance performance, followed by a talk about services offered at the Family Violence Prevention Center of Greene County.

To donate materials prior to the sale, please be aware that the Friends do not accept magazines, textbooks, or large sets of books that are over 10 years old. VHS tapes and DVDs are accepted.
