BEAVERCREEK — Books & Co. will welcome authors in February.

Jessica Strawser will introduce her new domestic thriller, Forget You Know Me, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Books & Co. at The Greene, 4453 Walnut St.

In the novel, we meet Molly and Liza, extremely close friends. When Molly married Daniel and moved away, the women’s friendship faltered. Molly and Liza plan to reconnect with a nice long video chat when Daniel is away on business. While they are chatting, Molly needs to leave the room to check on a crying baby and suddenly a man in a mask enters the room, throwing Liza into a panic—then her screen goes black. Who is the man and what is he doing at her friend’s home?

Forget You Know Me exposes the wounds of people who’ve grown apart, against their will. Best friends separated by miles. Spouses hardened by neglect. A mother isolated by pain. The man in the mask will change things for them all. But who is he? And will he be back?

Jessica Strawser has also written Not That I Could Tell and Almost Missed You and is editor-at-large for Writer’s Digest.

In addition Sharon Short, local author and friend of Jessica’s, will be “in conversation” with Jessica at the event as they discuss Forget You Know Me.

Short has just published The Widows, an historical novel set in coal country in Ohio in the early 1900s. She has written the book under the pen name of Jess Montgomery.
