BEAVERCREEK — Casa Núñez, LLC, established by Iván and Susie Núñez after a civilian job opportunity at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base brought them to Beavercreek in August 2014.

The Núñez specialize in Caribbean and Mediterranean flavors that Iván learned during his childhood in Puerto Rico, and Spanish tapas dining style recipes while on Air Force attaché duty at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, and other overseas assignments. Favorite selections include roast pork shoulder in the “lechon” style of San Juan and traditional Spanish gazpacho, but they also offer chili pepper sauces of varying intensities, Argentine-style empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, and much more on their menu listings.

The couple had been cooking for years for family, friends, and non-profit organizations in Virginia. Upon their arrival in Ohio and with Iván’s second retirement from the Air Force this past March 2018, they decided to devote their time to the business and Casa Núñez, LLC has grown.

Scheduled dinner events for this upcoming spring include French, Spanish, Irish, Cajun, Portuguese, Mexican, and Cuban menus, and several cooking classes at the Dorothy Lane Market Culinary Center.
