WILMINGTON — Joe Mullins & The Radio Rambler will host the Southern Ohio Indoor Music Festival Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30.

The event is presented by Rue Farms Rustic Potato Chips and Real Roots Radio at the Roberts Convention Centre.

“In demand new talent and fan favorites will be on stage each day at the Roberts Centre,” said event producer Joe Mullins of Greene County.

The event will present Donna Ulisse for the first time, “A classy singer and songwriter who has won awards the past three years in a row,” added Mullins.

“High Fidelity will blow away traditional bluegrass fans with so much authenticity and talent as one of the top new bands of the past couple of years. We are a music festival, not exclusively bluegrass. We will feature the Malpass Brothers on Saturday. These guys have classic country fans inspired coast-to-coast and are seen often on RFD-TV.”

Mullins is also proud to have The Dailey & Vincent Show headlining the event on Friday. Friday’s performances also include David Parmley & Continental Tradition, Donna Ulisse and Chosen Road, along with a special youth musician showcase.

Saturday’s show will be highlighted by performances by the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) five-time Male Vocalist of the Year Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, bluegrass music’s 2018 Emerging Artist of the Year the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, High Fidelity, and the Malpass Brothers.

Host band and IBMA 2018 Song of the Year award winners Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers will perform both days also.

“It will be an exciting weekend for The Radio Ramblers,” said Mullins. “The official release date of our newest recording is Friday, March 29 – Day One of the festival weekend. Our first single, “The Guitar Song,” is already being heard everywhere and features our friend and Bluegrass Hall of Fame member Del McCoury. Our new CD For The Record will be available all weekend at the festival and we look forward to rolling out many new songs on stage.”

The Southern Ohio Indoor Music Festival is a bi-annual acoustic music event that occurs each March and November. In addition to two full days of talent, there will be a Jam Session Central area for pickers and everyone will have an opportunity enter to win door prizes as well as wonderful raffle prizes including a Deering Goodtime banjo. Food and various vendors offer value-added extras to all attendees in a smoke and alcohol-free environment.

Advance ticket sales are available through March 23. General admission passes are $35 for one day or $65 for two days. Ticket sales resume at the door during the festival at 10 a.m. daily for $5 more. General admission seating for children 16 and under is free with an adult ticket purchase. Tickets are available now at www.somusicfest.com or by calling the box office at 800-965-9324.
