BEAVERCREEK — Evergreen Children’s Center in Beavercreek celebrated becoming an Ohio Healthy Program on Tuesday with a day of food and exercise education.

The Ohio Healthy Program requires child care centers and schools to provide a bigger variety of healthy eating choices, an hour of active play per day, and parent involvement activities.

Evergreen is the third Beavercreek daycare center to receive the accreditation.

This fall will mark the start Evergreen’s 40th year serving the community. The Ohio Healthy Program is the second accreditation for Evergreen. The center previously received its Growing up Wild certification in April of 2014.
