XENIA — Greene CATS Public Transit is commemorating the past 15years of transit service that has been provided in Greene County with a celebration 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 28.

“It is remarkable that Greene County has been able to build a public transportation service that brings local government and private non-profit agencies together in a collaborative effort that provides 180,000 one way trips annually to those individuals in our communities who need safe, reliable, and accessible transportation,” said Executive Director Ken Collier.

A short video will highlight the history of Greene CATS and feature interviews from founding members of the Greene County transit movement and the riders who use the service daily.

The event will be held at the Greene County Service Center in the Media Room, 571 Ledbetter Road. in Xenia. The celebration is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Go to www.co.greene.oh.us/greenecats and register to attend by clicking on the link in the calendar.
