FAIRBORN — Two Fairborn males have been charged with sex crimes.
According to a release by the Fairborn Police Department, Tahryn Bailey, 18, of Fairborn has been charged with two counts of rape, a felony of the first degree; and two counts of sexual battery, a felony of the third degree. Chance Putnam, 21, of Fairborn, has been charged with two counts of rape, a felony of the first degree; attempted rape, a felony of the second degree and two counts of sexual battery, a felony of the third degree, the release said.
The charges come after a sexual assault was reported in April to the Fairborn Police Department involving a non-consensual sexual encounter with a juvenile female victim and four male suspects, according to police. The two other male suspects are juveniles at the time of the offense. Police said Bailey and Putnam were arrested Wednesday, Aug. 17.
The Fairborn Police Department said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests may follow.
