Chiropractic clinic

BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreak Chiropractic Clinic Director Dr. Greg Palkowski will be presenting a senior seminar 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30 at Hospitality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. Dr. Palkowski was named the Ohio Chiropractor of the Year and recently accepted an appointment by former Governor Ted Strickland to the Ohio State Chiropractic Board.

Senior Center trip to LaComedia

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Senior Center is off to see the Wizard on Thursday, Aug. 25. The Senior Center will depart by motor coach at 9:45 a.m. and go to LaComedia in Springboro for their presentation of The Wizard of Oz. Cost is only $40 for Center members and $50 for non-members. The center has a few tickets left for this show and on a first come, first serve basis so stop by today. For more infromation call the center 937-426-6166.

Upcoming programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library has a variety of programs for people of all ages are being planned for August. Lego Play Day for ages 5-12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Registration required.

Bi-Weekly Readers for ages 4-7 with adult, 1-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29. Register and pick up a copy of the Early Reader we’ll be reading together. Registration required.

Volunteers sought

BEAVERCREEK — ArtFest entry deadline is Aug. 1 and volunteers are needed for the event to be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Beavercreek Community Park at Factory Road at Route US Route 35, next to the bike path.

ArtFest will be held rain or shine. Local artists of all ages and genres are encouraged to submit their art for consideration of show and sale according to the instructions online at infusion-art.org/artfest. Local food trucks will be present, along with performing arts, interactive art activities, live music and art for sale.
