XENIA TOWNSHIP — A Greene County man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Saturday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Raymond Deyo, 68, of Bowersville, was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle was hit head-on near Paintersville-New Jasper Road by a vehicle driven by Kathy J. Smith, 62, of Xenia. The OSHP said Smith was westbound on Hussey Road and drove left of center shortly after 3:30 p.m., striking the pickup truck driven by Deyo.

Smith was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, according to a release from the patrol, while Linda L. Deyo, 66, was taken to Greene Memorial Hospital.

Both were suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to the patrol. Smith was listed in serious condition as of late Monday afternoon. Deyo was in good condition as of Monday.

The crash is under investigation.
