DAYTON — In the final week of competition, Beavercreek High School beat Centerville High School and earned a $300 scholarship in last week’s Goodwill Stores Drive to Victory competition.

Drive to Victory is a friendly competition each week between two local high schools that battle off the field in a donation drive benefiting Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley.

Beavercreek High School collected 1,970 pounds of donations and Centerville High School collected 1,060 pounds of donations. These items will be sold in Goodwill Stores with proceeds supporting the mission of helping people with disabilities and other needs here in the community.

This year’s winning school was Brookville High School. They collected 18,955 in donations, including three cars in week eight of the competition and will receive a $700 scholarship from Universal 1 Credit Union.

Since 2007, the Goodwill Stores Drive to Victory campaign has generated more than one million pounds of clothing and household items along with more than 70 vehicles from around the Miami Valley.
