BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek High School hosted a mock crash May 10 to teach the students about the dangers of driving under the influence, just before the students celebrated prom the following weekend.

The mock crash started with unveiling and revealing the scene to students, followed by playing a 911 call concerning the event. Firefighters and police officers arrived shortly thereafter explaining that individuals injured in the crash are prioritized.

Students volunteered to play victims, witnesses and the drunk driver responsible for causing the crash. The Beavercreek Police and Fire Departments, Kettering Health Network, CareFlight, community officials and a local funeral home also volunteered to act out the scene.
