FAIRBORN — The District 11 Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) of the Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program awarded July 11 the B-W Greenway Community Land Trust four grants.

Three grants were for conservation easements on properties along Trebein Road for the preservation of approximately 82 acres of land. These properties include a high quality wetland and several headwater streams leading to the Beaver Creek. Protecting these properties assists in maintaining the water quality in the Beaver Creek and the Little Miami River and contributes to flood control.

The fourth grant was for the construction of 300 feet of additional boardwalk and an observation deck at the Anderson Fen on Enon-Xenia Road.

B-W Greenway Community Land Trust is a non-profit organization that works to protect and restore the land and water resources between the Beaver Creek and Wenrick Wetlands while balancing human needs with those of the natural environment.
