FAIRBORN — The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greene County recently sponsored its seventeenth annual Student Send Off. All Greene County high school graduates in the Class of 2017 who will be entering OSU this fall were invited.
The picnic event was held at Community Park East in Fairborn and was planned to give the incoming students and their parents the opportunity to meet each other and get their questions answered by a panel of current OSU students.
Scholarship Chairperson Christi Gillmen conducted a question and answer session. Current OSU students who returned to answer questions and offer advice as upper-class students were: Michaela Santalucia, Robert Borger, Emily Subr.
Area alumni who helped sponsor the Send Off and furnished a free picnic lunch included the club officers, board reps and other interested Buckeye supporters of Greene County.
