Community library announces programs

BEAVERCREEK — The Beavercreek Community Library is planning a variety of programs for people of all ages in October. The library is located at 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Some programs require registration for more information or to register call 937-352-4001.

Anime Club for ages 12-17, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13. Join Miss Krista for a monthly episode from a great anime series followed by anime-related games. Registration required.

Gaming and Pizza for grades 6-12, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Games and pizza. Registration required.

Preschool Story Time for ages 4-6, 10:30-11:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 23, 30. Registration required.

Baby Story Time for ages 6-23 months, 10:30-11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 24, 31. Registration required.

Toddler Story Time for ages 2-3, 10:30-11:25 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 25. Registration required.

Make Your Own Haunted Fairy Gardens for grades 4-8, 4:45-6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. Need a place for your fairy or sprite to relax and call home? Come to the library and make them a fairy garden fit for an evil queen or an undead queen. Registration required.

Crazy 8s Math Club, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Sign up for eight weeks of hands-on fun and games to get you fired up about math. Registration required.

Calling All Yarn Crafters for adults, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Bored of working on your project by yourself? Beginner to advanced yarn crafters are invited to bring their own projects and supplies and hang out with other yarn lovers. Experienced crafter Vanessa Dickenson provides guidance and encouragement. Comfort for Infant Loss for adults, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Come prepared to share, remember, and color during this unique author’s talk. Bring your favorite coloring products. Registration required.

Teen DIY Fabric Canvas for grades 6-12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Create a painting on a textile canvas. How will you incorporate the pattern of the fabric into your painted image? Registration required.

Adulting 101 — Will it Waffle?, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Learn to make more than waffles with your waffle maker. Registration required.

Glowing Greetings for Halloween for ages 8-13, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. Learn how to make light-up electronic greeting cards just in time for Halloween. Design your own card and learn about basic circuitry Registration required.

Spooky Halloween Movie for ages 6-10, 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. The Halloween movie is sure to give you goosebumps because the title is Goosebumps. Registration required.
