FAIRBORN —The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greene County said ‘thank you’ to the Fairborn Senior Center by planting a Buckeye sapling on the grounds of the center Sept. 27.

The OSU Alumni Club held their annual scholarship awards night at the Fairborn Senior Citizens Center May 18, during which the club awarded eleven scholarships for a total value of $11,000 to students who graduated from Greene County high schools in 2017. The club was very appreciative of the services provided by the staff of the Fairborn Senior Center.

Larry Lokai, known at all football games as the famed “Buckeyeman”, planted the sapling at the center with nine additional Greene County alumni in attendance along with three representatives from the Fairborn Senior Center.
