AKRON — The Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) elected Cynthia J. “CJ” Bieghler as District Eight Vice President to serve for the 2018-2019 term at its fall conference.
Bieghler, who is a member of the Beavercreek Republican Women’s Club, will supervise the OFRW activities in the counties of the Eighth District, which include: Champaign, Clark, Fayette, Greene, Logan, Madison and Union.
Duties will include providing timely information, acting as a liaison with the OFRW Board of Directors, cooperating with other Republican leaders to promote the betterment of the clubs, and perform the duties as directed by the OFRW’s President, Board of Directors or Executive Committee.
“I am excited by this opportunity to serve the women of the OFRW. One of my primary goals is to help the presidents of our existing clubs to grow their membership while seeking to add new clubs within District 8. I also aim to encourage women to run for office and seek opportunities to serve their communities,” said Bieghler.
Additional responsibilities include visiting each club at least once annually, holding at least one phone conversation with each club president quarterly, hosting district-wide training at least annually, attending major county events within the district and working to develop new clubs.
Bieghler currently serves as Sergeant-at-Arms for the OFRW, is a member of the OFRW Armed Forces/Homeland Security Committee, is a Precinct Captain for the Greene County Republican Central Committee, previously served as a Vice President to both the Beavercreek Republican Women’s Club and the Xenia Republican Women’s Club, and served a three-year term as a member of the Impact Fees Appeals Board for the City of Beavercreek from 2010-2013.
