BEAVERCREEK — Evergreen Children’s Center has become the first place in Greene County to be honored as a Best in Ohio Connect to Nature site.

The award comes from The Miami Valley Leave No Child Inside Collaborative and Five Rivers MetroParks. The childcare center was honored with a special sign and banner during a ceremony Nov. 9 at Adventure Central in Dayton. Some of our requirements for this accreditation included playing outside every day, and encouraging a commitment to nature both at the center and at home.

Evergreen is now one of 20 facilities throughout the Miami Valley to have the designation.
