Taste of Greene County award winners


BEAVERCREEK — The 21st Annual Taste of Greene County announces this year’s award winners April 29 at the Wright State University Nutter Center. The 21st Annual Winners:

Best Appetizer: 1st Place- The Wright Place Holiday Inn Fairborn; 2nd Place- Mutt’s Sauce; 3rd Place- Young’s Jersey Dairy Farm.

Best Soup/Salad: 1st Place- Soin Medical Center; 2nd Place- Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices; 3rd Place- Giovanni’s Pizzeria é Ristorante Italiano.

Best Entree: 1st Place- Soin Medical Center; 2nd Place- Deg’s Flame Grilled Chicken; 3rd Place- The Wright Place Holiday Inn Fairborn.

Best Sandwich: 1st Place- Beavercreek Golf Club; 2nd Place- (Tie) City Barbeque & Bar Louie; 3rd Place- Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices.

Best International Cuisine: 1st Place- Jeet India; 2nd Place- Yaffa Grill; 3rd Place- Soin Medical Center.

Best Dessert: 1st Place- Young’s Jersey Dairy Farm; 2nd Place- Greene County Career Center; 3rd Place- Pristine Senior Living and Post-Acute Care of Dayton-Centerville.

Best Beverage: 1st Place- Soin Medical Center; 2nd Place- City Barbeque; 3rd Place- Jeet India.

People’s Choice Award: 1st Place- Soin Medical Center; 2nd Place- The Wright Place Holiday Inn Fairborn; 3rd Place- Jeet India.

Best Decorated Booth: 1st Place- Soin Medical Center, 2nd Place- City Barbeque, 3rd Place- Young’s Jersey Dairy Farm.

This annual event featured 21 local restaurants, bakeries, and caterers who showcased their best and most popular cuisine for attendees to enjoy. The event had more than 700 attendees this year. The event was presented by Greene Memorial Hospital, Soin Medical Center and the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce with the support of Dayton Magazine, Dye’s Auto Care, Greene County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Nine Three Seven Group, Prime Time Party Rental, US Foods & Wright State University Nutter Center.
