“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” (Luke 12:11-12)

Okay, it is clear from our Lord Jesus that there will be tough times ahead for His followers. There will be those who will try to stamp out His saving message. There will be those who will try all kinds of things to silence us. It will not only be a narrow road ahead for us but a rough one. It will test every fiber of our being. The question of course – that is dealt with here – is will we continue our testimony by the Spirit’s help or not? Will be compromise and cave to the pressure? Certainly not, in Christ Jesus. He will take all worry from us as we stand for Him.

The picture here is one that most of us have never and will never experience. We live in a country that protects freedom of speech and we are thankful for that. We rejoice in this freedom and lift up Jesus in our words and deeds.

We don’t go into a day without Jesus on our mind. His transforming presence leads us in our life and witness. He has made all the difference in our life, bringing eternal meaning. Yes, we stand firm with our faith and trust in Jesus. He is indeed Good News for us and the world. Alleluia!

Heavenly Father, we call upon You to help us stand against the lies of the Devil. Help us stand strong and be strong with the message of Your Son, Jesus. Help us share that message boldly wherever and whenever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
