RIVERSIDE — The Carroll High School indoor track and field team will be competing in the Division II and III State Indoor Track and Field Championships this Saturday, March 4, at the University of Akron.

This is the eighth straight year, and ninth out of the last 10 that Carroll has qualified athletes to the State Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The following student-athletes are state qualifiers and will compete in the State Championships: Mike Laughlin (800-meter run, 1,600 run, 3,200 run), Sam Janson (200 dash, 400 dash), Brad Klingbeil (800), Karl Grossman (800), David Saurine (shot put, triple jump), Eric Nwankwo (triple jump), Jacob Rieman (weight throw), 1,600 relay (Brad Klingbeil, Karl Grossman, Sam Janson, Mike Ciesko), 3,200 relay (Brad Klingbeil, Sam Janson, Grant Arnold, Karl Grossman), Nikki Gazzero (high jump), Annie Bete (high jump), 800 relay (Maurita Lansangan, Nyanjok Mawein, Nikki Gazzero, Mackenzie Donaldson), 1,600 relay (Maurita Lansangan, Nyanjok Mawein, Nikki Gazzero, Maria McCarty), 3,200 relay (Maria McCarty, Maurita Lansangan, Cassidy Nitz, Amanda Devillier).
